Amanda Barnes Interiors is a multifaceted design studio based in the Bay Area, specializing in high-end residential design. Curating functional and sophisticated spaces is the focus of each project from start to finish. While inspired by the California coastline, the client's everyday lifestyle informs the design of every room. Layering textures, mixing metals, and taking cues from the home itself, we focus on balancing clean lines with lived-in spaces.

AMANDA BARNES - FOUNDER + PRINCIPAL DESIGNER
"Do what you love, not what you think you're supposed to do." Looking back these words explain why it took me so long to follow my heart into design. With a degree in biopsychology and over a decade spent in biotech, I always felt as if I should follow the paths so many in my family took into medicine. I assumed a pre-med degree and a career in healthcare would fulfill me. Perhaps I should have paid closer attention years ago. In 2004, I signed up for design school but ultimately had to drop out before I began, in the pursuit of a promotion. A move to the Bay Area, marriage, two kids, and a few renovations later, reading about design was how I spent all my free time. When life got busy with a six-week-old and a toddler, I started getting referrals to work on projects. The timing was unexpected but the universe was speaking to me and it was hard to ignore.
Today I am grateful for the work experience I bring to my business. My time spent in sales, training, and marketing has allowed me to run my business efficiently. My experience as a mother has given me perspective on how to create spaces that allow for elevated and practical living in everyday life. I believe that good design and thoughtful planning can bring joy to any home. The process of design is rooted in collaboration and the end result leads to a thoughtfully edited home
Amanda holds a Bachelor's Degree in Biopsychology from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and is also recognized by the American Society of Interior Designers as an Associate ASID Designer.
JUSTYNE DEWILDE - DESIGNER
Justyne has been a member of the ABI team since 2018. She has been affectionately nicknamed “J-CAD” by contractors and clients due to her ability to spot something 1/16” off from across the house and her love for accurate and exact plans. Her technical skills guide the team in creating the perfectly balanced, proportional, and symmetrical space. The only time asymmetry is allowed is when it comes to styling a space with massive floral centerpieces in the final phase of design!
Justyne holds a Bachelor's Degree from the California State University of Sacramento in Interior Architecture and Design.
KRIZZIA “KISH” DIZON - OPERATIONS MANAGER
Kish has been managing aspects of the ABI team since 2018. She a great eye for accuracy and her background in merchandising brings the ability to keep ABI in tip-top shape.
Kish holds a bachelor’s degree from Academy of Art University in Fashion Merchandising.
